Discussion on Fatigue and Cancer Pain Management

Parkland’s Oncology Department and the American Cancer Society will co-sponsor a Fatigue and Cancer Pain Management discussion on Friday, October 27th from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. This program is part of the “I Can Cope” educational series offered free of charge by the American Cancer Society for individuals with cancer or their family, friends, and caregivers.

The discussion on Cancer Pain Management will give participants an opportunity to design ways to cope with challenges that arise from a cancer diagnosis. The program also offers a chance for individuals to share concerns with others facing similar experiences. “Living with cancer can cause great fear and emotional challenges for patients,” said Barbara Umansky, MSW, Oncology Social Worker for Parkland. “Videotapes, printed materials and class discussions will provide up-to-date information for patients, family, and friends.”

The discussion will be held in Suite 209 of the Nutfield Professional Building, 44 Birch Street. For more information or to register contact Barbara Umansky at (603) 421-2347.
